THE EXHIBITIONS
Curated by trend consulting agency Peclers Paris, the Tech-Eden exhibition explores the profound evolution of the relationship between science and nature as the basis for a sustainable future. The exhibition highlights the key values for the retail and hospitality of tomorrow: well-being, energising, and regenerative.
The 2024 Designer of the Year is Mathieu Lehanneur. The French designer presents OUTONOMY, a bright yellow installation, a renewed living space rebalancing our relationship with nature and technology to regain our own autonomy. The design of this scenography points to the future and reveals the need for freedom. Doing better with less, dealing with our surroundings while respecting the environment, getting back to basics but not on basics… “Far from nostalgia or an attempt to retrace our steps, Outonomy attempts to answer the question: what do I really need?” says the designer.
Curated by Elisabeth Leriche, the What’s New? In Decor exhibition plunges into the colours and materials that will shape the aesthetics of tomorrow’s interiors. Nature is omnipresent. A dreamy, original nature in its most dreamlike expressions.
In line with the Tech-Eden overarching theme, the Rising Talents Award exhibition focuses on emerging designers who are able to experiment with and blend crafts and cutting-edge technologies. For example, French designer Audrey Large creates 3D-printed sculptures exploring the relationship between our virtual and physical worlds. Each design offers a fluid silhouette with iridescent purple surfaces and a liquid-looking texture that resembles molten lava.
