MCA – Mario Cucinella Architects and WASP, World’s Advanced Saving Project, teamed up to develop and create TECLA, the first eco-sustainable housing model. With an area of about 60 square meters, it comprises a living zone with a kitchen and a night zone that includes services. The furnishings are partly printed in local earth, integrated into the raw-earth structure, and partly designed to be recycled or reused. The nearly zero-emission project reduces waste and scraps in the name of low-carbon housing. Read more…

Caspar Schols has created ANNA Stay’s, a flexible sliding cabin inspired by the “desire to live with nature’s elements, rather than shielding them off.” The cottage has two different ‘shells’ as outer walls, supported on rails. Zecc Architecten clads the Steel Craft House with a Corten steel façade. Good cooperation, perseverance, and love for the craft are the main ingredients of a former garage turned into a wooden residence in the Dutch city of Utrecht. “The stylistic features of a working-class house were revamped.” Zecc Architecten told Archipanic. The Steel Craft House “strongly stands out in abstraction and material, while integrating with the adjacent buildings through shape, composition, and detail.” Read more…

Squeezed between two buildings on a very narrow plot, the House on Bagattenstraat by NU architectuuratelier in Ghent, Belgium, provides a generous and spacious family home. The House of Many Courtyards has the appearance of a series of individual boxes; in reality, it is one interior connected via a 40-meter-long, end-to-end, central corridor overlooking multiple courtyards.
