Architects Javier Deferrari and Lavinia Modesti won the international contest launched by Mirage. The young professionals designed X-GON, a collection that features hexagonal tiles of different sizes, patterns and colors that can be also “puzzled into each-other”.
Xgone alternative viewpoint on the use of porcelain stoneware in interior design includes tiles of three different sized that come also with several graphic designs, multiple finishing and a wide color palette that goes from plain black & white to shades of brown, green, grey and terracotta.

Lavinia Modesti and Javier Deferrari comment: “Xgone springs from the idea of creating a rich, multi-coloured design that eliminates the perception of the single element or the serial repetition of modules in favour of the creation of surfaces with a pattern that offers a multitude of possibilities for composition and colour applications” DEFERRARI+MODESTI studio was founded by Argentinian-Italian design duo Javier Deferrari and Lavinia Modesti.
