“We have worked on Frame for a long time. It was important for us to create a product that is in the spirit of Mogens Lassen, but which also has contemporary functions” says Nadia Lassen, great-granddaughter of architect Mogens Lassen and co-owner of by Lassen.
by Lassen is a Danish brand that owns the rights to the designs of Mogens and Flemming Lassen, two of Denmark’s greatest architects. The brothers’ iconic architecture linkes Arne Jacobsen with Le Corbusier, Cubist art with Modernist architecture.
“We are a family business with a simple mission: to carry the Lassen legacy forward. Because good design lives on through new generations” say at by Lassen.
Frame recently won the German Design Award 2016. The German Design Council gave to by Lassen the special prize “for works whose design features particularly successful sub-aspects or solutions – an award that honours the commitment of companies and designers”.
