Brera Design Apartment

Horizons is the concept and theme of the Brera Design Apartment by Daniele Bortotto and Giorgia Zanellato of the Venice-based Zanellato/Bortotto Studio. Commissioned by Brera Design District, the designers drew inspiration from familiar landscapes to balance colours and materials, bridging heritage, craftsmanship and a forward-thinking contemporary vision.
Brera Design Apartment features pieces by Agape, Bolzan, Bottega Nove, Davide Groppi, Ethimo, Lunardelli Venezia, Moroso, and more across five rooms. Milanese contractor Artecasa supervised and co-directed the interior design project.
Muuto Milan Apartment

Weaving together light, colour, form, texture, and scent, the Finnish design brand Muuto presents the Muuto Milan Apartment, reflecting the feeling of changing seasons. Each room offers a distinct experience, from energetic warmth to quiet introspection to a sense of refreshing renewal. The interior design unveils new designs, including the calming and adjustable mouth-blown glass Looped Lamp by Dimitri Bähler and the Midst Table by TAF Studio. Also on display are the recently launched Beam Table Lamp in H45 by Tom Chung and the Gaze Mirror by Phil Procter.
Casaornella

Designer Maria Vittoria Paggini, curator and artistic director of Casaornella, presents Mediterranea – Andamento Lento, an interior design project exploring a contemporary Mediterranean feel. Conceived as a retreat from the urban frenzy, the design apartment offers new interpretations, elevating the bathroom and kitchen to central roles in the living space.

The entrance welcomes with a water ritual: the Gio Ponti washbasin and Mamoli faucets dialogue with tiles by Quintessenza Ceramiche, evoking the discreet charm of Moroccan riads and the gestures of ancient thermal rituals. The kitchen, designed by the designer and crafted by Turati Cucine, is immersed in hypnotic blue. The living area thrives with green mirrors and animalier wallpaper by Glove.
Garçonnière

Giuseppe Porcelli launches his inaugural furniture collection at the Garçonnière, “an intimate homoerotic space reimagining a military tent into a single-room apartment.” Porcelli’s draped room and the pieces showcased “investigate the duality between traditional masculine and feminine design, played in tension to create a balance of unexpected juxtapositions.”
Alcova at Villa Borsani
Via Umberto I in Varedo, Province of Milan [Map]. April 7-13 h.11-19. Tickets.
Alcova returns to Varedo in the Milan metropolitan area, taking over historic and unexpected locations, such as Villa Borsani. Discover the design platform’s curated selection within a modernist masterpiece designed by Osvaldo Borsani in 1945. The entrance hall has a scenographic staircase and a marble floor. The interior design features suggestive wooden and brass lamps and glass balustrades.
To preserve Villa Borsani’s fragile heritage and ensure a smooth experience, entry will be limited to a set number of visitors at a time. To visit the venue, a 25€ ticket with an assigned timeslot is required. This ticket also grants priority access to Alcova’s other locations.
L’Appartamento by Artemest

Art and collectable design platform Artemest celebrates Italian craftsmanship at Residenza VIGNALE, a prestigious dwelling opening to the public for the first time. Six internationally acclaimed interior design studios—1508 London, Champalimaud Design, Meyer Davis, Nebras Aljoaib, Romanek Design Studio and Simone Haag—transform a distinct room each, showcasing an extraordinary selection of furniture, lighting, home décor and art by Italian artisans, brands, and artists.
Dimorestudio and Loro Piana
Via della Moscova 33 [Map], April 8-13, h.10-22. By appointment only.
Dimorestudio and Loro Piana present La Prima Notte di Quiete – The First Night of Quiet, an immersive installation in the Cortile della Seta courtyard in the Maison’s Milan headquarters. The exhibition explores the boundary between reality and cinematic fiction. Fanning out between an entrance, a dining room, a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a small garden, the house transforms into a muffled refuge, an intimate space that protects from the elements, noise, and external chaos.
Archiproducts
Via Tortona 31 [Map]. April 8-13, h. 10-20.
At Tortona Rocks, digital design platform Archiproducts presents A.Ria, StudioPepe’s interior design project exploring the ethereal theme of air. Light and material interact. Iridescent surfaces, semi-transparent fabrics and pastel hues dialogue to create ever-changing perceptions. The design apartment features textiles by Dedon, Alcantara and House of Lyria, lighting designs by Davide Groppi and Terzani, as well as pieces by Norr11, Door, Desalto, and Brionvega.
