Paper Torch by Kazuhiro Yamanaka lits up by rolling a A4 paper sheet

A piece of paper and a battery operated LED: these are the basic components that Japanese designer Kazuhiro Yamanaka would need to create his genial PAPER TORCH.

Japanese designer Kazuhiro Yamanaka conceived an out of the box torch made of with just a paper sheet and a LED.

“When you roll the paper sheet, a cut out part extrudes inwards so that two thin hidden button batteries automatically power a bright LED for bicycle lamps. As soon as you unroll the paper sheet flat, the light turns off again.” Says the designer to Archipanic.
