Design – At WantedDesign Manhattan during NYCxDESIGN 2022, NYC-based Mana Sazegara unveiled two vibrant collections blending architecture, graphic design and furniture design. The Sweet Gathering series celebrates the return, recovery, and revitalization. The Wanderland collection comprises objects made out of geometric modules which are able to be scaled and transformed into different pieces of furniture.

Sweet Gathering features Henry, a chair that “intensifies your emotions, using its contrast in forms and colors, and urges you to stop, wander around it, and take a seat, maybe!” Lively in multiple dimensions, the Alice mirror “calls you to your own imagination and activates your ability to observe limitless perspectives of your existence.” At the same time, the Carol rug “persistently tries to break your everyday routine and guide you to take a new route. Refuses to be ignored, even though it is not on your eye level.”
Colors flowing into common architectural monolithic forms sitting next to each other or placed on top of each other can best describe Wanderland. The collection comprises three wall pieces and two seats. “It takes you wherever it wants; however, you have to take the first step. It asks you to explore your boundaries and expand your imagination when entering.”
The Leo vibrant bench invites one to take a seat on an unexpected architecture, while Jaggy is a modular stool that allows the creation of multiple displays when paired with others. Wanderland also comprises three multi-dimensional mirrors showing people things in different shapes and colors from their own perspectives.
