Both blown glass and and fiber threads convey a feeling of warmth and tension. Jun Murakoshi matches these two different materials intertwining coloured threads on the crenellated rim of a blown glass vase.

The outcome is a  delicate design collection that enhances the same feeling of two different materials. “The thin lines create unlimited patterns; the transparency and exquisiteness that each materials possesses manage to blend glass and thread” Comment the designer.

Awarded BEng. and MEng at Chiba University in Japan, MA at Design Products at Royal College of Art in UK, Jun Murakoshi has been working as freelance designer to create new products with takram design engineering and i.lab (innovation laboratory inc.).
