“In developing the HALO design collection, designers attempted to carry out a multiple recombinations of glass with different optical expressive forces to discuss the multi-dimensional performance of light,” explain at BUZAO.
“HALO is the curved converted frequency of light. Just like the illusory sun, it flickers far beyond reach yet it directly before eyes right away.” Simple geometrical volumes and surfaces contrast with misty coloured splashes encompassing the rainbow spectrum.
Inwardly, the misty folded surfaces are superimposed with a color gradient rainbow ranging from the cold to the hot polar extremes of chromatography. “Halo is the color gradually diffusing from the edge, the plane to the volume, blurring out in the haze of homogenous masses. This is exactly our brand philosophy, that emphasizes experimentation in unexpected material and processes – often with unforeseeable results. Each ne discovery creates an ever evolving body of work.”
In the HALO collection, “light has established a new relationship and mechanism of perception with the subject of gaze. In the gaze that chases after the light, the invisible is verified in the invisible, the the uncertain is emancipated in the certain,” Say at Buzao.
Founded by Yu Wang and Xiao Lu in Beijing and Los Angeles in 2014, Gallery All has earned international acclaim for its ever-evolving program of exhibitions and presentations for the most distinguished contem- porary design collection. By utilizing extensive fabrication resources in China, United States, and the Netherlands, the gallery provides unique research and production capabilities to its represented artists, which enables them to master progressive manufacturing practices, facilitate expert craftsmanship, and discover new production perspectives.
