Design. Stockholm Design Week 2025 is in full swing! Centred around the Stockholm Furniture Fair [Read more], the diffused festival takes over the city with exhibitions and installations by hundreds of designers, architects and brands until February 9. We selected ten must-visit destinations.

ANDETAG by Malin and Gustaf Tadaa

Until May 11 at Hötorget subway station [Map].

Malin and Gustaf Tadaa created ANDETAG, a 200 sqm immersive breathing installation at the Hötorget subway station. Specially developed textiles woven with fibre optics combined with traditional materials and techniques are connected to thousands of programmed micro-LEDs. The result is three-dimensional, surreal fabrics that shimmer and glow in the dark.

Bukowskis and David Taylor present the SPECIAL EFFECTS exhibition and online auction featuring 25 exclusive objects created by the Scottish designer and craftsman David Taylor in his signature material, aluminium.

Testing Ground Bistro by Form Us With Love

Swedish design studio Form Us With Love returns with its Testing Ground showcase, which now doubles as a pop-up meeting place where to mingle, eat, and get inspired. Featured are furniture for Danish brand +Halle and a debut modular strip lighting project for Swedish manufacturer Blond.

Associations by Kajsa Willner

The Associations exhibition by Swedish designer Kajsa Willner explores how a gesture—a simple tear of paper—can be transformed into a lasting object. “By shifting materials and scales, I create a dialogue between the malleable and the fixed, the temporary and the permanent. A torn piece of film becomes a sculptural partition. A cut transforms into a light source. A moment of spontaneity evolves into something solid.”

Misschiefs is an art and design collective for bold women with a punk spirit. In Stockholm, the platform’s founder, Paola Bjäringer, has converted her apartment into a private gallery to present an exhibition featuring six designers exploring the theme of recycling. Visits are by appointment only.

Burn Lace by Färg & Blanche

February 5-7, Julius Hus, Bondegatan 21A [Map].

At the entrance of a historic palazzo in Södermalm, Färg & Blanche showcase the Burn Lace lighting collection, inspired by their experiments with felt. Their innovative approach to materials has led to a unique project where felt is treated with hot air to create a random lace-like effect on the surface, resulting in a poetic interplay of light and textile.

The Unexpected by Andrea Tsang

Andrea Tsang exquisitely blends Scandinavian functionalism and Asian craftsmanship and aesthetics. Born in collaboration with artist Josefin Tolstoy, The Unexpected exhibition “celebrates the power of trust and intuition — where the journey of creating takes precedence over the final result. Through different creative processes, the unexpected emerges.”

HOSOI x Collabs

Listening bar HOSOI has commissioned several Stockholm-based designers to create custom objects. Gustav Winsth’s psychedelic terrazzo tables, My Zachrisson’s textile hangings, Fredrik Paulsen’s stools, and Lars Oscar Wall’s tables made from waste wood are on display.

Axel Wannberg and Sami Kallio x NO GA

NO GA launches new designs by Sami Kallio and Axel Wannberg, two Swedish designers and cabinet makers known for their hands-on approach to design and craftsmanship. Lamp 53 by Axel Wannberg is characterised by a 53-degree angle. It is welded with precision to create smooth yet sharp angles. Also on display is the Empire Chair by Sami Kallio. Inspired by 1920s architecture, the seat features a frame made of solid ash paired with a woven seat crafted from custom-made webbing produced in Sweden.

All Matters Studio x En Doft™

All Matters Studio has transformed the flower shop Your[Flower]Bouquet in Södermalm into a 70-square-metre “scent installation” for the brand-new high-end perfumery brand En Doft™. The Stockholm-based design studio collaborated with Perfume Designer Emmanuel Martini to create a scent that captures the essence of the creatives’ design universes.
