Christmas – X-mas Treet can serve you as a set of candle holders or an espresso cup with sauce plates. Each one can function as a dipping bowl or a set a cup cover which perfectly fits whatever it is. Once stacked the brown earth coffee cup becomes a tree trunk while the dark green saucers build up a pine tree foliage.

“This little piece of work has been made in the hope that we can live everyday like a joyful Christmas. Christmas brings us hope. Soon the winter will be over, and spring will be on the way. When the whole world is suffering from the pandemic, that’s what we need the most.” Explains Korean ceramic designer Minji Jung.
The ceramic set can be used not only for Christmas but all the long year through. Minji Jung made use of ‘Colored porcelain casting slip’ applied on the ceramics.
“Somehow there is something magical about Christmas that gives me warm and fuzzy feelings more than any other time of year. Streets filled with a wonderful atmosphere and beautiful Christmas decorations, and there always is a dying Christmas tree decorated with shining lights in my living room. I always wait for Christmas all year long, but Christmas just comes and disappears in the blink of an eye.”
Minji Jung studied Ceramic Art at Seoul and Barcelona where she started to be interested in combining color and light in porcelain. Known as a color magician in her field, Jung opened her own studio in Gimhae since 2015. “I appreciate humanity, sense of humor and originality that complete my work as the meaningful object.”
