Inspired by Vang Gogh’s “Starry Night”, Dutch designer Daan Roosegarde & Heijmans company created a glowing solar-powered cycle path that passes through the fields and watermills of the painter’s homeland.

In the Netherlands, artist Daan Roosegaarde and construction company Heijmans completed the pilot of the Smart Highway project: Glowing Lines that collect energy during the day to release it after sunset turn a night-journey in a safe and sustainable fairy-tale experience.
