Design, Crafts. Le Grand Bouquet, Uchronia‘s installation for Paris Design Week, fills the Rotonde d’Antin at the Grand Palais with a single monumental bloom, conceived as a living extension of the hall itself. Its form draws inspiration from the mosaic floor’s floral motif and the botanical mouldings adorning the arcades.

The stylised, luminous petals seem to emerge from the floor like natural growth, while their arrangement follows the circular movement of the space and guides the eye upward toward the room’s height – on view until September 30 [Free, Map].
“With Le Grand Bouquet, we want to celebrate joy as a force for resistance and coming together,” explains Julien Sebban, founder of Uchronia. “In a context often marked by uncertainty, the installation asserts the power of beauty, imagination and optimism as ways of creating connections and sharing a collective experience.”
Le Grand Bouquet was born from the encounter between creativity, materials and craftsmanship. Atelier François Pouenat created the work’s monumental structure, drawing on its exceptional expertise in artistic ironwork and metalworking, while Chromatic and Seigneurie contributed to the installation’s colouring, revealing its textures through a subtle palette.
At the foot of the Bouquet, Tréca Paris designed generous circular beds dressed in silk fabrics by Prelle, inviting visitors to pause and contemplate. Tiptoe completes the experience by presenting objects from an unprecedented collaboration with Uchronia along the visitor route.
A selection of objects, furniture pieces and accessories from the world of Le Grand Bouquet is also available at the Grand Palais Design and Crafts Boutique. Standing on the forecourt of the Grand Palais, Uchronia’s Équilibres Éphémères installation welcomes visitors with inflatable, colourful and generous sculptures in dialogue with the façade’s classical rigour, introducing a note of lightness.
