Design – Italian fashion brand Marni and luxury fashion platform Farfetch joined forces to create and launch the Zooterico responsible design collection which reinterprets star signs into colorful furniture.

Exclusively on sale on farfetch.com, the limited edition re-writes Marni playful design codes with vibrant colours and shapes. Each piece represent one of the 12 signs of the horoscope. Born in November, relax on scorpion-shaped chaise lounge. Born in June? Bring on the table a Gemini-inspired set of twin fruit baskets.
Zooterico comprises chaise-longue, benches, rocking chairs and stools but also home accessories such as trays and baskets, all made from recycled PVC. The range features also metal sculptures and terracotta candle-holders as well as umbrella stands and bags in pique fiber.
Each star sign has been abstracted into a a geometric symbol and then given to Colombian craftsmen who translated them into unique furniture. The collection is part of a social and cultural project Marni has been working on for few years.
The company is venturing into design while supporting remote communities in the South American country with the aim to actively preserve endangered craft traditions and propel them into the present.
