Trumpitecture – The TrumpNoMore project aims to raise awareness on Climate Change and ironically answer to a fundamental global question: will a giant sculpture of the US President’s face carved on an iceberg melt or last for a thousand years? The project could also make Trump’s dream to be added on the iconic Mount Rushmore come true. Kinda…

In 2017, the US President began the country’s withdrawal process from the Paris Agreement, the accord signed by nearly 200 countries aims to curb global carbon emissions and contain global warming. Mr Trump has previously doubt whether climate change exists, and has at times even said that parts of the world would benefit from it.
The project’s idea sprung also when in a rally in Ohio Trump said he thinks there’s a possibility he could be added on Mount Rushmore – the rock sculpture carved into the side of a mountain in South Dakota featuring several prominent American presidents.
“Global warming is one of the most important issues and topics of today. There are still people who ponder whether it’s a real issue,” says Nicolas Prieto, the chairman of the association Melting Ice, which is behind Project Trumpmore. “We want to build the monument for all of us, so we can see how long the sculpture lasts before melting. Often people only believe something when they see it with their own eyes,”
“Our starting point was to create something concrete, something people can see and something that makes climate change visual. In general, we believe that a DIY-attitude appeals to people, and it’s certainly the same thing which got us started.”
The goal is to generate conversation and hopefully catch the eye of anyone who is willing to fund the project. “It’’s a huge challenge and we can’t do this without help. We are now asking everybody to join this movement. It can be made by talking, liking, sharing, funding etc. All possible help is more than welcome.
