Design, Technology. Smart vacuum cleaners can achieve astonishing performances, but it often takes a sock, a toy or a pair of shoes left in the middle of the floor to halt them. At CES 2025, Roborock showcased the Roborock Saros z70, an innovative voice-controlled assistant featuring an OmniGrip intelligent, foldable robotic arm designed to pick up and remove obstacles.

Equipped with state-of-the-art navigation, vacuuming, and mopping features, the AI-powered Roborock Saros Z70 is set to revolutionise automated cleaning by turning conventional robot vacuums into groundbreaking robotic home assistants.

“Say goodbye to the pre-cleaning hassle.” Explained at Roborock. “During its first cleaning session, the Saros Z70 detects and marks objects it can lift, then circles back to clean missed areas in the second session. Let it handle the mess effortlessly. It also moves obstacles out the way, enabling access to previously blocked spaces and ensuring thorough cleaning with minimal effort.”

Indeed, it can identify over 100 objects and relocate them to their proper places: socks in the wardrobe, sandals towards the entrance mat, and crumpled paper into the bin. The Saros Z70 is expected to be available on the market during the first half of 2025.

The Omnigrip arm features a gentle grip design and can securely hold objects without damage. A built-in weight sensor prevents it from lifting items over a safe 300g threshold. The robot vacuum has already been pre-programmed with over 100 objects. Users can define and label up to 59 new items in the app for personalised interaction and enhanced functionality.

The Saros Z70 boasts all the pioneering cleaning features of Roborock vacuums. The new mechanical arm is incorporated into the smallest design at 87.98 cm. Forget the hassle of constant brush maintenance with the innovative anti-tangle system on the main brush. It expertly handles long hair and is optimised for pet-friendly environments. The improved omnidirectional wheel features a handy brush that cleans it while in operation, simplifying maintenance and ensuring peak performance.

The new vacuum cleaner effectively navigates intricate home settings with its independently adjustable three-wheel control, enabling it to lift and overcome obstacles or variations of up to 4 cm.

Roborock Saros Z70 is also pet-friendly. Indeed, it stops its main brush and moves aside when approaching your pets to avoid frightening them. It will boost suction when cleaning around their supplies and, if tasked, will also roam the house to help you find them.
