Moonbikes’ story began in the French Alps in a tiny village called Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce. Nicolas Muron, the company’s founder and CEO, observed that while in the summer, there are countless ways to get around, in the winter, mobility solutions were extremely limited, and they often had a significant impact on the environment.

Nicolas returned to Paris, where he worked as an aeronautical engineer. He imagined and developed an ultralight, powerful machine that could travel effortlessly over the snow. It also had to be nearly silent, and because of his lifelong love of nature and the outdoors, it needed to have the smallest environmental impact possible.

In 2018 Moonbikes Motors was born. Prototype after prototype, in 2020, Moonbikes formed key partnerships that brought together world-class funding, technical design, manufacturing, and supply-chain expertise.

It soon became the pioneer in winter e-mobility across Europe, launching partnerships with winter sports venues, including ski resorts, tour operators, and others. The company has recently expanded in North America and has just debuted at the Consumer Electronic Show 2023.

At CES, Moonbikes launched the Connected MoonBike app, enabling users to track numerous aspects of their rides, including trail maps, altitude, distance, speed, duration, battery level, and more. They’ll also be able to see other riders in their area and “follow” friends to view their personal best rides, join them on trails and create a unique MoonBikers social club.
