Les Dandys: fairytale cabinets of curiosity by Ibride

French design brand Ibride presents Les Dandys, mischievous individuals behind whom design furniture is hidden. Meet Rosalba, Arsène and Rastignac, imaginary creatures that take great care of books, clothes and personal belongings, but also – and above – all of the secrets of their owner.

Rastignac.

Les Dandys are valets, secretary and confidents incarnating cabinets of curiosities and concealing a diversion while telling a unique story with a surreal and fairytale twist. Each character wears sumptuous clothes and overlooks the room with an altere and distinct attitude.

Rosalba.

The furniture collection offers the possibilities of functional storage space. The biggest portraits are especially designed for coats and jackets, hats and umbrellas, while others dedicate themselves to discretely store books, mail and keys.

Rodolphe.

The collection comprises also wall bookcases in the guise of singular and emblematic creations. These illustrious romantic and dreamlike individuals conceal shelves where to place books or confidential written works. Some of them, in a safe-like manner, have secret little trap doors, whose existence is solely known to the owner.

Lady C.

“Les Dandys are the result of a work of research realized by the creative duo Rachel and Benoît Convers. Exquisite design meet graphic creation, freedom of conception and quality of realisation, contemporaneousness and timelessness” say at Ibride to ArchiPanic.

Chatterton.

The Secretaires Particuliers are Chatterton and Rastignac, two distinct chamois, the austere giraffe Charles and Mile de Maupin, a noble ram. Bel-Ami, Rodolphe, Lady C and Dantès pose distinctively like charming confidents. The valets Rosalba and Arsène are portraited in full figure with a haughty look.
