designjunction takes over the first ever King’s Cross Design District bringing together the newest and most forward-thinking furniture, lighting & accessory designs. The Cubitt House is the event’s trade destination. Here, numerous brands look at the past in order to look forward. LSA‘s new collections of glassware and barware is inspired by brutalist architecture while Friends and Founders‘s new chairs nod towards the Bauhaus movement.

Make your way over to Cubitt Park to discover the knitted Bioknit Pavilion created by MuDD Architects and Jane Scott that explores sustainable materials and architectural hybrid constructions.
The next generation of young British designers goes on show under the King’s Cross Light Tunnel which hosts the third edition of the Rado Star Prize UK award. The Canopy houses 70 premium pop-up shops and emerging design labels, selling everything from fashion accessories to technology, ceramics, glassware and stationery.

100% Design, one of the UK’s leading design trade events, celebrates its 25th anniversary with a stellar line-up of more than 400 exhibitors. Design London is a carefully curated selection of the world’s leading interior brands such as Boss, Antonio Lupi and B Sweden.
Here, British furniture maker Benchmark launches the Sage Collection by David Rockwell, London-based design brand Haberdashery unveils Introvert Extrovert, a pendant lamp with a dual attitude: an elliptical element projects outward radiating light while a smaller, rotating disc emits inward-facing light.

The Detail London exhibition focuses on contemporary soft furnishings and wall coverings. A sense of Finland is housed in a specially built eco log house showcasing the very best of Finnish furniture, products and lighting focused around sustainability, wellbeing and healthy living environments.
London Design Fair

Located in the creative heart of East London, the London Design Fair is a four-day event bringing together 550 exhibitors from over 40 countries. On show furniture, textiles, materials and conceptual installations. With the Crossovers exhibition, online design platform Adorno invites for a global journey in collectable design [read more]. This year, London Design Fair focuses on crafts, lighting design and the thriving UAE design scene.

A special section explores the new frontier of biomaterials, often derived or made from by-products from the agricultural industry. Once the waste has been identified then the hard work begins involving hundreds of hours of picking apart the agriculture chain. They come from, figuring out the intercept moment to harvest these by-products and then figuring out how to sustainably utilize them on mass.
