Seattle Ultrasonics unveiled the high-performance ultrasonic C-200 knife, which vibrates at over 30,000 times per second to cut with up to 50% less effort, with less sticking, and easier cleanup. With a push of a button, piezoelectric ceramic crystals on the plate contract microscopically, producing shock waves that trigger the vibration. You can’t see the blade move, you can’t hear it when it’s on, and you can’t feel any vibration in the handle. Michelin-starred Chef Michel Vigneron cooked a beef steak on a Bosch induction cooktop, powered by the existing AutoChef function and the Bosch Cook AI system. Users can photograph ingredients, select doneness (e.g., medium or rare), and let AutoChef continuously monitor and adjust pan temperatures throughout the process.
A Bluetooth-enabled probe tracks internal temperature in real time, translating data into calm decisions rather than anxious, stopwatch-driven guesswork for home cooks. Asked, “Is such technology necessary for a skilled chef?”, he replied, “Any help in the kitchen is welcome!”
Cozytime introduced Lumo, a grilling and roasting device that uses infrared light and AI to accurately detect food types for precise results at home. Far-infrared heat, sauna-like in spirit, directs beams at pizza, fish and steak, delivering up to 1800 watts with focused efficiency and surprising speed. An AI sensor detects “meat type, thickness, temperature and weight” to craft custom strategies, monitored attentively via an app for everyday grilling. Within broader kitchen technologies conversations, a side compartment accepts wood chips, adding smoke, theatre and aroma without complicating workflows for curious weekend cooks.
Just refrigerating is a thing of the past as AI recasts fridges as nutritionists, recipe books, shopping aids and logistical hubs within domestic kitchen ecosystems. Samsung’s Bespoke AI Family Hub is based on Google Gemini. The function «What’s today?» recommends recipes from available ingredients, while «Foodnote» reports diets, favourites, purchases and suggestions weekly with clear visual summaries. Voice recognition distinguishes family members, surfacing relevant content automatically and making the fridge feel politely attentive even on busy weekday mornings.
Cherry on top? Samsung’s Bespoke AI Family Hub Wine Cellar recognises bottle labels when stored or removed from its racks. Inventory updates flow instantly to the “SmartThings AI Wine Manager” app, tracking shelves and compartments without manual checks. With logistics solved, users explore wine information effortlessly and receive pairing suggestions shaped by what already rests inside the cellar. Curation becomes intuitive and personal, turning storage into storytelling and quiet confidence at the table during shared meals and celebrations.
Finally, LG Electronics introduced LG CLOiD, an AI-powered Android that cooks, does laundry, and coordinates connected ovens, dishwashers, and other home appliances. In line with the company’s ‘zero labour home’ philosophy, the robot learns and adapts to users’ daily routines to balance friendliness and geek credibility.
