Architect Jo Nagasaka of  Schemata Architecture Office developed and completed for Extabilished & Sons a brand new collection started with the Udukuri table. The multicolored set includes a coffee table, a side table, a credenza and a chair.

All the pieces are made using traditional Japanese techniques: the designer manipulates the surface of the Douglas fir top by peeling it in order to expose the grain and create an uneven surface. Nagasaka then applies brightly coloured epoxy resin treatments to the surface, creating an elegant, smooth finishing and transforming the everyday object back into a functional table.
