When they are “off-duty”, umbrellas are generally left unattended and stored away to drip and dry miserably with a good chance to be forgotten.
Designed for their own brand by|n, Japanese studio Nendo created an umbrella that can literally stands up to rain free standing on the floor, leaning steadily on a wall or hanging from tables.

Once turned upside-down on the floor, the umbrella stays up thanks to a rounded two-forked handle. Stay-brella is not only stable when in use, but it can also stay propped up on a wall or it can even be hooked over an edge.

Available in eight different colours, all with a surface coating that reduces UV rays by 90%, the umbrella features also a strap to hang safely on the arm.
