The Finnish fusion is part of Artek’s 90th anniversary celebrations, marking nearly a century of timeless design. For the occasion, Artek has invited creative partners who share its values to reinterpret its classics. This collection sees some of Alvar Aalto’s iconic minimalist and functional furniture—such as stools, chairs, and tables—reimagined with eye-catching Marimekko prints. Specifically, the collection incorporates patterns designed by acclaimed fashion stylist Maija Isola.

From June 17 to 21, visitors can preview the collection at a conceptual installation inside Marimekko’s flagship store, located at Pilestræde 29 in Copenhagen. Finnish designer Linda Bergroth has crafted a warm and playful setting that highlights the synergy between Artek’s minimalist elegance and Marimekko’s vibrant creativity.
This collaboration marks the first time Artek and Marimekko have released a co-branded limited-edition line. It reflects their shared design heritage, rooted in human-centred functionality, deep respect for nature, and a fearless approach to modern aesthetics.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer to Finnish design, Artek+Marimekko invites you to rediscover everyday objects as pieces of joyful expression. The global launch is set for September 4, 2025, across Artek and Marimekko stores—both online and physical—as well as through select retailers worldwide.
