Office design – French design company Alki expands its vision for the contemporary work environment with Egon, a collection of office furniture designed by Iratzoki Lizaso Design Studio which highlights an informal attitude tuning with today co-working spaces and lifestyles. The collection debuted at IMM Cologne and Maison & Objet 2018.

Based in the Basque Country, Jean Louis Iratzoki and Ander Lizaso created different complementary elements, such as poufs, coffee tables, a sofa system as well as a new side table with height adjustment, which can be used as support for digital devices or just as a coffee table.

“Work environments have evolved into warmer and cosier spaces. It´s with that in mind that we tried to give these height adjustable tables a more human touch so that they can even be suitable for the home atmosphere.” Explain at Iratzoki Lizaso Design Studio.

Indeed, Egon is made from polished solid timber and pastel coloured upholstery and aims to create lightweight elements that can work for both individual and team work. The set allows also to compose flexible displays for more social and leisure moments.

The Egon three-seater sofa system can be set up in numerous layouts and so adapt to all areas. The upholstery is held at the ends by curved wooden components. The side tables come with height adjustment so that they can be used as support for digital devices or just as a coffee table.

Three rounded, individual pouffes made up of an extended wooden base and an upholstered section are split in two parts while a set of three coffee tables with different heights and shapes. The legs and table top are made from solid oak ringed by hand-wrought iron.
