The event thrives during the French Capital’s art week, which takes over the city with exhibitions in museums and galleries and the Art Basel Paris fair.

Galerie Downtown-LAFFANOUR presents a Jean Prouvé post-war prefabricated house, the last one with the architect’s signature character intact. Originally built in 1946 in Carnac, Prouvé’s home village in Brittany, the house was designed for easy assembly and dismantling and is furnished at Design Miami Paris with works by Charlotte Perriand.

Inside the stunning halls of L’Hôtel de Maison, Galerie kreo presents the bronze monolithic TOWER HILLS chair, one of the late Virgil Abloh‘s last designs. Inspired by everyday street life and ordinary objects, the seat was crafted using a sophisticated approach that saw the bronze surface take on the texture of a material commonly used in packaging crates.

Inspired by the 18th-century style of French cabinetmaker André Groult, the Australian designer placed hand-beaten and cut aluminium pieces over a fluid fibreglass form to shape its curvaceous silhouette.
