Crystal Beat combines music and light to transport you to a world of pure sensory immersion. Curious exploration creates an experience in which visitors feel like they are seeing music and hearing light. [The site-specific installation can be experienced at Euroluce, Salone del Mobile, Pavilion 9, booth 210, until April 23.]
Crystal Beat is inspired by the company’s new Signature Design, Crystal Grid. Making its debut at the fair, the design concept is inspired by the unmistakable patterns of orthogonality in architecture and design. Such patterns are combined with the sparkle of crystal by using hand-blown crystal tubes and a grid structure to create a spatial impression through form and illumination.
Crystal Grid is a 100% scalable and customisable solution. You can choose the length of the hand-blown bubbled crystal components and the metal component finish. The illuminated bubbles create little sparkles, while the metal components bring an unexpected radiance to the crystal tubes. Choosing a dynamic lighting effect increases the glimmer experience. Most importantly, designers have carte blanche in creating anything they want regarding shape and size.
To show the versatility and dynamic possibilities associated with Crystal Grid, “we used a three-dimensional sound system and synchronised it with the crystal light structure we built to enhance the spatial experience for visitors, creating a captivating maze-like feel.” Adds Andreas Klug.
