Design. Enrico Zilli, Archipanic’s Founder and Editor-in-Chief, has picked six innovative bathroom design collections for Cersaie, the most influential bathroom and ceramic design fair. The selection includes a faucet inspired by an albatross’ elegant flight, a tactile washbasin evoking waves’ movement, and a bathroom design system that can wax and wane like the moon for perfect makeup.

Practical, essential, and humble are some of the values revered by Shakers, an American sect that has anticipated Modernism since the 18th century. Inspired by their frills-fee functionality, Italian designer Odo Fioravanti has created a bathroom system for Artdeco based on two zinc-plated metal T-profiles. Various elements, including washbasins, storage units, mirrors, lighting, and other accessories, are attached to the profiles to create a neat, minimalist, and practical statement design.
The new Habe bathtub by Disenia is made from Kromalite, a new generation of lightweight, high-quality polyester resin. The innovative material comes in transparent and translucent hues, including olive oil, ocean, turquoise, black cherry, and graphite. The collection also comprises coordinated wall and standing basins.
Ceramica Dolomite presents the Move washbasin by Nilo Gioacchini. Defined by thin edges that create a visual lightness and tactility, the bowl evokes waves’ movement, creating a continuous flow. The design also includes customisable shower trays, shelves, and accessories. It is available in gold and silver, as well as classic matte white and matte black to match both contemporary and classic styles.
Albatross birds’ regal freedom and weightlessness inspired Gianluca Belli of Pichubo Studio to design a sleek collection of faucets for Rubinetterie Treemme. The new series “was born instinctively, from pure design, in a search to give water a body, which offers itself by moving toward the user,” explains the designer. Sculptural and fluid forms interpret dynamism and vitality in the name of functionality. Thanks to a flat, 22-millimetre-thin cartridge, the design seems to plane over the basin.
The brand-new Rift collection by Zetae Studio for Relax Design is a bathroom design system defined by a neat metal structure holding glossy or matte washbasins with a Luxolid® solid surface. Light and sturdy, the functional designs come in hues inspired by famed Italian destinations – including the green or yellow you can find in Ischia or Amalfi.
The moon’s enigmatic waxing and waning beauty inspired Manuel Di Giacobbe, Alice Ceramica‘s art director. The new Lunaris collection introduces a bathroom system comprising ceramic washbasins, a stainless steel structure, and smaller orbiting circular mirrors with LED lights for a perfect makeup session.
