From here, the company supplied Malaga-based designer Jorge Penadés aluminium spare-parts from previous collections to create PISCIS, a new series od vases giving value to what already exists – infusing new life.

Jorge Penadés used a laser-cutting machine to divide the aluminium profiles longitudinally and reconfigured them using thin, double-sided tape, before securing with glue. Each piece in the series sees the extruded aluminium parts arranged into one of three configurations.

The series is part of the the REmix design project upcycling furniture spare-parts. “REmix is amovement as well as a collection,” explain at BD to Archipanic. “We hope that our example spreads and that we encourage other manufacturers int he design sector to recuperate and reuse obsolete materials in storage, that they reintepret to give new life. Our planet and your inventories will be thankful.”
