Birds Apartment by Nendo is designed for humans who want to peek descreetly into the secret life of the winged  inhabitants of the forest sharing respectfully the same living space. The birdhouse architecture is a “residential” solution for many birds and one person.

On one side, the treehouse has entrances to 78 nest spaces for birds. The other side has an entrance for one person, who can look into the birds’ nests from inside the treehouse. The treehouse was designed for the Ando Momofuku Center.

Holy Homes by Frederik Roije took inspiration from human religious architecture and created a sacred nest (not only Christian churches but also mosks or synagoges) just in  case we weren’t the only living being with a faith.

Tree Ring by multi-awarded designer from Singapore Jarrod Lim is a decorative and functional birdhouse designed for his own new brand Hinika. The shape mimics the rings found on the knots of trees with the intention of making the bird feel more at home. The egg shape creates a comfortable space that drains water away and is a quirky reminder of birds’ very first home.

NeighBirds by Utoopic is a modular birds’ nest that helps chicks emancipation as it creates a close knit neighborhood for metropolitan flying citizen. Designed by Andreu Carulla, the birdshouses are handcrafted in an esagonal shape  and come in organic pine wood. They can be puzzled toghether until creating a real neighbirdhood that resembles the pattern of a behive.
