The key concept of For D. Casa is ‘Frames of Rhythm’. Both the indoor spaces and the facade highlight a geometric imprint” says Alexander Bellman, founder of Gruppo C14. The Milan-based studio has been in charge of the art-direction. lighting and design of custom-furniture.

For D. Casa develops on 6 level on two facing buildings, each with 3 floors by street level. The studio alternated a champagne metal net that wraps the design store with windows and details in bronze and brass. The buildings embrace pedestrian plazas and golden up with light after sunset.

Inside, the store is conceived as a light and rhythmical architecture of frames. “All showrooms are visually connected by geometrical yet irregular patterns and custom-made furniture” adds Alexander Bellman.

Floating stairs in bronze and wood features carefully lit niches that host design installations and books while special areas at the corners are set to rest and relax. “We turned a walk-through area into a ‘contemplative’ sculptural element. The floating stairs are conceived like a vertical promenade that inspires visitors” Says Bellman.
